Located in the interior "Cariboo" region of British Columbia, Canada, the historic Bridge Creek Ranch was founded in 1912 by the 5th Marquess of Exeter, William Cecil, and was operated for over 100 years by four generations of the Cecil family.

BRIDGE CREEK RANCH NEWS: December 2022

Bridge Creek Estate Ltd. has sold the Bridge Creek ranch lands to the Province of British Columbia as part of the treaty process with the Canim Lake Band. We are pleased that the stewardship of these lands will be carried forward by the people of Tsq'escen'.

Note that Bridge Creek Estate Ltd. will continue to operate as a company owned by the Cecil family, but any inquiries about the Ranch should be directed to the new owners.

Bridge Creek ranch was a pioneer for land stewardship. In partnership with Government agencies and land conservation groups like Ducks Unlimited, we completed extensive projects to protect sensitive wetlands full of waterfowl, eagles, herons, bears, deer, moose, and badgers.

With a colourful history dating from before its purchase in 1912 by the Marquess of Exeter, Bridge Creek Estate played an important role in the growth of the adjacent town of 100 Mile House. Please visit the History page for stories from the gold rush in 1868 up to the present day.
